OUR HISTORY
1984 was the birth of your-haunted house.com Entertainment Productions, but it was not known as that, it actually had no name nor was it a business, but it set the tone for what I love doing today.
While stationed at Quantico Virginia, that Halloween I decided to dress up in a full costume and sit outside my house to scare kids. I loved it and could not believe how much fun I was having as kids cried for their parents not to take them past me while I was sitting motionless in my costume, until like a rattlesnake I would strike and scare mom, dad and the kids. The birth of your-haunted house.com had just happened.
The following year I worked in a haunted house on the base which was just a bunch of Marines in costume, in a make shift haunted house at the Enlisted Club. Again, the love of this and the ability to make people run in fear was just too good. As the years went by, my ideas grew, got crazier, and was never enough to satisfy my need to scare people and outdo professional haunted houses.
The DJ side of me was always there, but never a thought of making it a business until 2004. I have toyed around with DJing since about 1983, with cheap equipment and only for friends and family at no cost. It was my first year at Miller High school, 2004, where I was introduced to the Virtual DJ program. The next year we had a Halloween party for the ROTC students where I ran a haunted house for them and DJ the party. The students informed me that I was really good, better than the DJs that had done the school dances in the past and that I should DJ school dances. That was all it took. Now, years later, no one in South Texas can put on a better show with hours and hours of nonstop music videos and all the hottest music past and present.
Thank you to all our customers for making us the hottest DJ service in South Texas. The DJ side of the business is actually the business and the haunted house was retired in Sep. 2011.
The Birth of South Texas Mafia came about when we decided to make our own music and record label around Nov or Dec of 2010. on Sep 6, 2011 we made it official and changed the business name to South Texas Mafia Entertainment.
We strive to be the best and thank all who support us past and present. Our music will soon be known by all and heard throughout the nation on all local radio stations.
